~ SOUTH GATE ENTRY UPDATE ~
--On July 25, 2007 residents were informed the South entry gate
would be closed 24/7 until such time as the work on Hwy 95
is completed (at least near our community), due to large
trucks using the Arbors point cul-de-sac as a turn-around.
--On the last weekend in July '07, the South gate remained open
until the sensors, which had been dislodged by mowers, could
be repositioned by our Maintenance Committee volunteers.
--Early August '07 a resident reported that the asphalt supply
trucks were now using the approach to the Arbors Main entry gate
as a turn-around, blocking traffic, and causing deep ruts in
the grassy entry way.
A Board member contacted DOT, and subsequently the asphalt
contractor, concerning this issue. This turn-around practice
should now have stopped; please report any further
infractions to the Board and/or any MC volunteer.
--Several residents have reported experiencing difficulty
opening the gates with a remote unless within a few feet of
the remote receiver antenna. MC volunteers discovered that
moisture had gotten into the remote receiver and was causing
an intermittent problem which affected the reception range
of the receiver. The defective part has been replaced and
the gates should now be functioning normally. (Note: Please
remember check the batteries in your remotes and replace
them if necessary.)
Thank you for your support and patience while this issue was
being resolved...
